Fever-Tree YCN
Gold is a common factor between the four countries I have chosen to explore and design for. These countries either produce gold or handle vast amounts of it. I have chosen to base my designs on four different countries instead of just one region, I have chosen Brazil, China, Ghana and Mexico. For Brazil’s design I have simplified the idea of carnival down to the element of a feather as if it was from a carnival costume or head piece. The design for China was based on the Auspicious cloud pattern, for Ghana I based the design on the bold design of Kente cloth. Mexico’s design is based on the Aztec period of their history. As for creating the designs displayed on the bottles I screen printed gold paint or used gold foil onto coloured card. I have taken a major colour from each countries flag to feature as the background. As added extras I put my designed bottles into a 6 pack set . I have also translated the designs onto cans and coasters. I also made a product red version of the 6 pack set. I designed some glasses in which feature Fever Tree’s logo what a better way to enjoy your tonic water or gin and tonic. The back labels include an element of the design on the front label but I have used it in a way that does not overpower the details of the ingredients used. I have named set of designs the gold collection in which aims to add a touch of gold with every sip.
